It is very strange to see this BBC report of new Nike Air Jordan shoes arriving and causing riots and even a shooting and not think of the opening to Max Barry’s novel Jennifer Government. Jennifer Government really changed how I viewed the world, perhaps more noticeably than any other book on how I perceived things and saw next future actions.
